Clinical Specialties
With extensive training, experience, and licensure as both a mental health clinician and as a high school guidance counselor, I present with a unique and comprehensive background specializing in adolescent mental health. Most therapists are clinical based, most school counselors are school based, but I am both! This has enabled me to incorporate both domains into my practice.
Why is this important? When it comes to adolescence, school is the cornerstone of the adolescent experience. School is a place where adolescents develop their intellect, form peer relationships, learn about who they are, learn about the world and others, seek out opportunity, play sports, join clubs, try things out, develop their individual talents and abilities; all while experiencing rapid physical and cognitive growth and development.
Adolescence is a crucial time in life and when things are not going well, the impact on the adolescent, parents, and family can be devasting.
